Since September 2023, Alveston's School Council have worked with Compass as part of the Connect for Health, Youth Health Champion project. They have worked with the nurses to learn more about important topics such as healthy eating, anti bullying and sun/ water safety.

They have enjoyed these sessions and are looking forward to planning how to share this information with their peers in the next academic year.

Healthy Schools Week  - Kindness

For our last week of the 2022/23 academic year, we have been celebrating kindness. As a school, we have focused on being kind to our bodies, minds and others. With lots of workshops and activities, we have gained tools to regulate our emotions, keep our bodies fit and healthy and be kind to others, including our local swans.

Here are some of the workshops we have been involved in:

  • Sports Day
  • Healthy Eating Workshop
  • Being kind to our Granny when she comes to stay
  • How to look after our local swans with Cyril
  • Being safe online
  • Regulation Toolkit Day which involves yoga, puzzles, mindful colouring and craft, lego, circuits, sounds and smells
