Collective Worship

Collective Worship is an integral part of our school day. We come together as a school at the start of each day to reflect, to sing hymns and to pray. As a Church of England school, our worship focuses around our school values. Each of these links back to Christian values and are rooted in the Bible.
We know that not all children in our school are of a Christian faith. We teach respect and tolerance in all that we do. All children attend our worship and are asked to join in with the prayer by bowing their head if they agree with the sentiment of the words being spoken.
Our School Values
Even during school closures for COVID-19, Collective Worship continued and children were sent a video daily so they could watch the worship in their own homes with their family. We received so many positive comments from parents following each session. On many occasions, children did something to act on the worship such as a kind deed for someone else, a drawing of their bucket or show you care hearts.
"We are finding the collective worship videos really inspiring. Our daughter told us that love is the future not Coronavirus." Reception parent
"It's lovely to share in collective worship." Year 1 parent
