Reception had the most fabulously roarsome day at Lapworth Museum of Geology in Birmingham on Wednesday. The children loved exploring every activity and fossil in the museum. They met Rory the Allosaurus and they got to see and touch other fantastic dinosaur fossils. A highlight for many was seeing a fossilised velociraptor - they are so small! As well as exploring, Reception got to make their own ammonite fossils using salt dough and they explored further, with Lizzy the museum teacher, about how palaeontologists know the difference between herbivores and carnivores. The children behaved wonderfully and were amazing role models for our school.
