November is Barvember!
This month the children have been learning to use the bar model to help them solve multi-step problems. The bar is a great way to 'see' the maths behind the problem and helps the children to understand which calculations they need to carry out and in which order. We've been so impressed with their confidence and resilience when tackling these problems and we're sure they'll take this bar modelling tool with them as they continue their maths journeys. Above are a selection of solutions from our talented mathematicians across the school.
