We were incredibly honoured this week to be visited by Bishop Sophie, the new Bishop of Coventry. She came to see what life was like here at Alveston CofE Primary School. Our four Year 6 members of the Collective Worship Committee led Sophie, Rev.d Linda and their companion around school and showed them things that they felt made our school special. Bishop Sophie loved seeing D&T in Year 2 and PE with Reception and Year 5 as well as the gorgeous artwork throughout the school. All the children were extremely welcoming, as they always are, and showed Sophie what makes Alveston truly unique.
A huge well done to our four Year 6s. They were very nervous taking on this big responsibility but they shone so brightly and should feel incredibly proud of themselves.
