Reception's learning takes place in their own self contained unit which includes a huge outside area, a creative workshop and cloakrooms. Miss Arbuckle is the class teacher and she is supported in the morning by Mrs Carter and Mrs Aqsa and in the afternoons by Miss Wright. Every Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Newitt takes Reception to Forest School to experience learning outside.
Reception learn through stories, with one story being the focus of activities for a week. The classroom is set up for free flow learning and adults facilitate and support children's next steps.
