Supporting Ambulance Aid

Our Community

Beatrice (Y1), Finlay (YR), Lily (Y6) & George (Y4)
Today the whole school has enjoyed a visit from Ambulance Aid. Starting with an assembly,  our children have learnt about the ambulance and the important work Ambulance Aid are doing to deliver urgent medical supplies to Ukraine. During the morning, everyone had a fabulous time looking around and driving the ambulance, which was originally from the BBC television programme 'Holby City'. This particular ambulance will leave for the Ukraine at the end of June.

The organisation, run by volunteers, have already donated 4 ambulances and much needed medical supplies to the Ukraine. Each ambulance (without supplies) costs in the region of £10,000. Ambulance Aid are now aiming to raise a further £4000 to purchase another.

Children are already sharing their wonderful fundraising ideas with us and as a community we would be delighted if you could help us to fundraise for Ambulance Aid. Some fundraising will be planned in school, but we know our children are always keen to do their own events outside school too.

To start, if you are able, please donate directly to Ambulance Aid following this link: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ambulance-aid-ukraine

When you donate, if you add 'Alveston C of E Primary' in the comments box, we will be able to tally up donations that have come from you all and add that to our fundraising total. Adding the school name is really important because once we have raised £2000, Mrs Clewley has confirmed a surprise (and child requested!) fundraising event for all children ... so get donating!!!

If you would like to do any fundraising within class or friendship groups please make sure you let us know about totals raised and donated. We will add them to our website news and share in school.

If you would like to support but need some ideas, please contact us on admin3002@welearn365.com, speak to class teachers or Mrs Clewley at the gate.
