We have had a fantastic World Book Day and have not let the pandemic stop us from celebrating this day. So many great activities have been going on including quizzes, ‘Masked Reader’, book scavenger hunts and our traditional ‘staff share a story’ which was a great success on Teams! Years 5 and 6 have been fortunate to take part in Stratford upon Avon School’s annual WBD quiz which they organise for their feeder schools. They have also kindly donated books for the school library.
Mrs Slatter has picked up a full compliment of the World Book Day books which are now all labelled up for Accelerated Reader. We will be sharing the picture books within the Reception, Y1 and Y2 bubbles so all children will get to enjoy these stories. A digital version of the WBD voucher has been shared and the children will receive their paper ones when they return to school on Monday 8th March.
