News

4th March 2022

The past couple of weeks have been unbelievable and terrifying. Our thoughts are with all the people of Ukraine and those affected by war anywhere in the world. Sending out a newsletter filled with so much joy in such dark times can feel insensitive. However, the words of Sam Sifton from the New York Times captured precisely why it is important to continue finding joy in the small things right now:

"The point is to celebrate humanity even when others seek to destroy it, to find joy amid sadness and above all, to show love, the emotion we need to embrace most of all when conflict soars."

That is what we have tried to do this week. We celebrated St David's Day on Tuesday and discussed his legacy, we embraced the joy World Book Day brings and clapped loudly for our Stars of the Week. Our children ran their cross country races and triumphed and today, we share the joy of an expectant mother.  As St David said 'Do the little things you have seen and heard me do'. Let's all celebrate humanity with these small acts of love, kindness and joy.

School Admissions Questionnaire

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) are reviewing the way parents and carers apply for a school place for their children. As part of this review, they want to understand what matters most to those involved and are asking for your feedback on using the service and Parent Portal. The information provided will help design, manage and improve the way in which this system operates.

If we could please encourage you to complete the questionnaire and help them understand what is important to you when deciding on a suitable place for your child to learn.

The questionnaire will take around 5 minutes to complete and is anonymous, it asks you about your experiences and what matters to you along with some general information about your family.

Please do share as much as you can about your experience to help inform the future system to ensure the best experience for parents and carers in the future.
